Horizontal Chain 🧶 Mosaic Knitting

Horizontal Chain Mosaic knit stitch. It looks difficult, but is easy to achieve. Using two contrasting colors.

On RS rows, slip stitches with yarn in back.
On WS rows, slip stitches with yarn in front.

Color A, cast on a multiple of 10, + 3 and knit one row.
Row 1 - RS: Color B, K4, * SL1, K3, SL1, K5; rep from * to last 9 sts, SL1, K3, SL1, K4.
Row 2 and all WS rows: With same color used on previous row, knit the purl stitches and slip the slipped stitches as they face you.
Row 3: Color A, K3, * SL1, K5, SL1, K3; rep from * to end.
Row 5: Color B, K1, SL2, K7, * SL3, K7; rep from * to last 3 sts, SL2, K1.
Row 7: As row 3.
Row 9: As row 1.
Row 11: Color A, K5, * SL3, K7; rep from * to last 8 sts, SL3, K5.
Repeat Rows 1 - 12.
